How to apply for the DTV?

  • If you stay in Thailand, you need to visit an Embassy abroad. Application from within Thailand is not possible. Visit the official Thai Embassy Website to proceed: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

What are the requirements for the DTV?

  • Valid Passport

  • Soft-Power activity certificate

  • Evidence of Financial Assets: Over 500,000 Thai Baht for the last 3 months (converted to your currency)
    preferably in 1 Bank Account (Foreign OR Thai Bank Account - both OK)

  • There are no fixed document criteria; approval is at the sole discretion of the Thai Embassy/Consulate-General reviewing your case

What are the requirements to apply for DTV Soft-Power?

The Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) requires specific requirements:

  • Proof of Enrollment in a Thai Culture related Program.

    • Formal Enrollment Letter

    • Class schedule

  • Company Registration of the Institution – A copy of the official DBD registration

  • Receipt and payment confirmation

Which documents are required? (Applicant)

  • Valid Passport – At least 6 months validity from the application date, but we recommend 5 years, to have the visa run under the same passport.

  • Passport-Sized Photo – Recent, taken within the last 6 months on a white background.

  • Proof of Current Location – In some countries you can only apply as a resident. Please check the requirements at your nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate. Otherwise a passport stamp or residence permit is required to confirm where you are applying from.

  • Visa Fee Payment Receipt – Fees vary by consulate (typically THB 10,000 to THB 15,000).

  • Financial Proof – At least 500,000 THB in savings in a conventional Bank account:

    • Official 3 to 6-month bank statement (depends on Embassy)

    • Alternatively a Sponsorship letter
